How to decide which Personal Number Plate to choose.
Suffix Car Registration Numbers are registration numbers  with the year letter at the end of the number plates and date from the suffix letter A issued on 1/2/1962 to  the suffix letter Y issued to 31/7/83. Examples may be as follows: WES 57T or  CWA 7T.

Prefix Cherished number plate  are registration numbers with the year letter at the beginning of the number plates and date from the prefix letter A issued on 1/8/1983 to the prefix letter Y issued to 31/8/2001. Examples may be as follows: S10 AMS or E81 AKE or E5 PAM.

Dateless Cherished number plates do not contain a suffix or prefix letter and are considered to be the original Cherished Number Plate. Examples of these are 72 TOM, 2196 PH or 215 T. 

Irish Car Registration Numbers such as TIL 3 or SZ 5650 are issued with two or three letters followed by between one and four numbers and always contain an I or a Z and a number between 1 and 9999.
